the table at the Victorian Tea On Sunday, November 14, Elizabeth Stillinger gave an illustrated slide lecture about famous collectors, how they lived with their American antiques, and what they finally did with their great collections. Collections of Henry Francis Dupont, Henry Davis Sleeper, Electra Havemeyer Webb, Helen and Henry Flynt, and Ima Hogg were among those featured.

Elizabeth StillingerElizabeth Stillinger of Westport is a writer, editor and lecturer in the fields of American decorative arts and collecting. She has authored numerous books, among them, The Antiquers: Those who were responsible for the changing taste in American antiques 1850-1930. She was an editor and writer for the magazine "Antiques" and has lectured at such institutions as Cooper-Hewitt and the New York School of Interior Design.
