A well researched work on General Tryon's invasion of Horseneck and in particular, of General Israel Putnam’s celebrated ride down the Great Hill. Upon successfully eluding the British, Putnam proceeded to Stamford, acquired reinforcements and returned to Greenwich. Zeranski’s meticulous notes embody his exceptional standards in dealing with an event of legendary proportions. |
